I guess anyone reading this blog would have figured that Aztech is quite heavily involved in HomePlug aka Powerline networking .. or in layman terms …. using electrical cable to send internet data.

The question that’s on everyone’s minds is ..

Is this technology new???

Answer: No

Is it reliable?

Answer: Absolutely. 4 years ago, answer would have been no.

Is it worth getting a pair?

Answer: Hell YA! Its totally portable, use anywhere .. gives you the edge over pure wireless.

We seem to have gathered a good pool of supporters on the local No.1 I.T forum in Singapore – HardwareZone (http://forums.hardwarezone.com/). I see dudes like liangtam, alanchai .. responding to queries. And judging from the good response, we thank these dudes who have advocated the use of HomePlugs.

Anyway, the marketing chap (aka me) thinks its prob time for us to do a short vid on how to take advantage of HomePlugs. Cos in the “twilight zone” of networking, there are still folks who think Homeplugs are for the main street powerlines.

No, we haven’t been in remiss.

Coral and I simply have stuff piled up to our necks this month, what with four shows in Hong Kong, (Hong Kong Electronics Fair Autumn), Beijing (China Model Exposition) Shanghai (Shanghai Toy Expo) and Berlin (Broadband World Forum Europe) back to back.

For those of you who keep up with such wireless/networking tradeshows, you would be familiar with the very popular Hong Kong Electronics Fair – where everything is sold under the sun – almost Big shows like Broadband World Forum wouldn’t be foreign either.

But this year we are embarking for the first time our virgin foray to the RC Electronics product category. Yes, yes, some of you have heard about it. It’s no surprise. Aside from designing and making routers/modems/powerline adaptors..etc, we are now designing spiffy flight toys for our big boys!

I’m talking about Remote-Controlled (RC) helicopters.

I WILL UPDATE more when I am ~~not “test-driving”~~ less busy..!

Five national netball teams from Canada, Northern Ireland, Sri Lanka, Singapore and Trinidad & Tobago put up a fierce ~~cat~~ fight at Toa Payoh Stadium on Saturday, and we are pleased to share the news that Singapore emerged Champion!

Netball Singapore is organiser of the event.
